The Royal Literary Fund, in partnership with Trestle, hopes to set up a regular Word Play group to run on Fridays from September 2019. The taster sessions in June and July are a chance for people to try out this new activity.

Brainstorm is a unique theatrical investigation into how teenagers' brains work, and why they're designed by evolution to be the way they are.

Set in Nigeria, New Nigerians is a satirical drama that follows the political and personal upheavals of Greatness Ogholi, presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Revolutionary Party. Along with his pot-smoking assistant Chinasa, Greatness Ogholi must form a coalition with his political rivals. New Nigerians asks whether Greatness can succeed in keeping his integrity and thereby keep his promise to the people of creating a new Nigeria.

I.K Dairo is the only African Musician to have received the honour of  Member of The British Empire (MBE).  In commemorating  55 years since I.K. Dairo’s receipt of this honour, this workshop traces his life and works. Starting from 1957 when he created the ‘Morning Orchestra’ until his membership of the Ethnomusicology department at the University of Washington, Seattle.
