Summary of Covid 19 specific Policies for Performances at Trestle Arts Base

  1. Trestle Theatre Company will be adhering to the most up to date government guidelines and will inform our patrons of any relevant changes as soon as possible.

  2. The capacity of our performances will be capped at 50 seats.

  3. No more than 6 people should mix either inside or outside of the venue.

  4. Temperature will be checked on arrival with no access if above 38C.

  5. Audience Members will be asked not to attend if they have any symptoms or if anyone in their household / bubble has experienced symptoms in the last 14 days.

  6. Audience members will be asked to give one name and contact number per party to comply with Test and Trace.

Please note that this data is only to be collected for compliance with the national test and trace initiative. 

7. Increased cleaning of our venue will take place.

8. Care will be taken to socially distance at all times.

9. There will be social distancing and a one way system in place for entry and exit to the performance with no entry into venue for to non ticket holders to decrease risk.

We’re putting procedures in place to minimise the risk of:

  • Spread of Infection from audience member to performer.

  • Spread of infection from audience member to audience member.

  • Spread of infection from audience member to staff.

  • Virus spread via surface contact.

  • Development of symptoms.

Precautions we’re taking:

  • Surface clean of the venue spaces throughout the day and before and after each performance.

  • Frequent hand washing and hand sanitising to be implemented.

  • Suitable soap and paper towels will be available.

  • Hand sanitiser will be made available.

  • Staff will check stock daily.

  • PPE (Gloves masks and if needed, disposable aprons) will be required for dealing with first aid issues.

  • Staff will wear visors.

  • All audience members over the age of 11 will be asked to wear a mask unless they are exempt due to medical reasons.

DISTANCING MEASURES AT ARRIVAL AND EXIT

  • 2 m or 1m plus extra precautions social distancing will be observed at arrival and exit.

  • Non ticket holders will not be permitted to enter the building and all patrons are required to abide by markings at the building.

  • Audience members will be temperature checked with a no-contact thermometer at the door.

  • Audience members will be required to wash/sanitize their hands on entrance to the venue.

DISTANCING MEASURES DURING ACTIVITY

  • We will endeavour to keep 2m or 1m+ between all staff and audience members at all times.

  • Tables and chairs will be set up for adequate distancing, all drinks and snacks must be pre-ordered in advance and will be delivered to your table by a member of staff.

ACTIVE RESPONSE (IF SYMPTOMS ARE SHOWN)

  • A designated space for anyone showing symptoms will be set.

  • If an audience member shows symptoms, the whole party will be required to leave the performance as soon as possible. Advice will be given to follow test and trace and self-isolation guidance.

  • Audience members will be asked to provide test results as soon as possible.

  • Following audience members leaving the area will be disinfected.

CANCELLATION

  • If the performance cannot happen in person due to government guidelines or a local lockdown we will, where it exists provide an online viewing of the performance or offer a refund for tickets (minus booking fees)

  • If you cannot attend a performance due to Covid 19 symptoms we will refund the ticket price minus the booking fee.

  • Ticket cancellations for reasons other than Covid 19 symptoms will not be refunded.

The following restrictions will be in place to keep everyone safe:

  • We reserve the right to restrict access to anyone showing symptoms.

  • We reserve the right to ask audience members to leave early if they develop symptoms.

  • Should you or any member of your party develop symptoms during a performance or 14 days after you agree to obtain a test and let us know immediately.

  • A minimum of 14 days symptom free will need to be agreed to attend any performance.

We would like to be clear that our temperature checks are not a medical diagnosis, only a preventative measure and further medical guidance should be sought if you or your family are displaying symptoms.
