The Live Music Project: Gallery Acoustic Session

The next Live Music Project Gallery Acoustic Session Gig takes place on Friday 20 May, we are delighted to be joined by Lauren Rich, Stone Thieves and The Ben Drake Collective, the doors open at 7.30pm and as always this is a FREE event.

Lauren Rich  (solo performance)
Lauren Rich is a singer-songwriter who certainly knows how to weave her distinctive voice around an effective acoustic chord pattern. With a taste for harmony and autobiographical lyrics that mean her songs border on country, Lauren is an artist with a bright future. It’s little wonder that she is turning so many heads. Having performed at prestigious London venues such as Proud in Camden and The Water Rats in Kings Cross, not to mention playing live during radio interviews with BBC London and BBC Three Counties, her knack for catchy, acoustic melodies is clearly catching on.

Since its release, “The Drink Talking” has had an overwhelming positive response and has been championed by BBC Radio 6 Music’s Tom Robinson’s and played on his BBC Introducing Mixtape.

Stone thieves
“Doused in the great tradition of the quintessentially English take on the electrified sound of American Blues”

Their song writer and front man, Aaron Gardner calls upon the composition and honesty of country music influences, among others to deliver heart-felt songs with a band that is tighter than two coats of paint to back him up. With many gigs under their belt, the Thieves continue to carve out their own road, playing up and down the country and gaining a dedicated following

The Ben Drake Collective
After the release of Ben Drake’s solo album ‘Repercussions’ in 2012, The Ben Drake Collective were formed to record follow up album, ‘Rise of the Little Big Things’.

This album was launched at Club 85 in 2014, producing a No.1 single on Reverbnation and some favourable reviews on many local radio stations.

With another two releases on iTunes, the latest EP Still Alive getting some great reviews from Buzzed Magazine and Balstock Promotions, the band have recently been interviewed on BBC introducing and are currently gigging to promote their albums while working on the, as yet untitled, 3rd LP.

The Live Music Project is run by local music promoter/supporter and community champion, Denise Parsons.  If you are interested in volunteering for the event or would like to sign up to perform, please contact Denise at
