The Live Music Project is going for a rockin’ country and roots feel this month with Grae J Wall’s Trailer Trash Orchestra headlining and support from David Hoare, Hubcap Moon and Marching Donald.
The Trailer Trash Orchestra is something of a trailer trash super group. The band came together through a shared love of Country-Noir and Trash Rock ‘n Roll and their sound reflects this – like Johnny Cash meeting The Ramones at party thrown by Gram Parsons who’s got The Pogues and Ween as house bands!
David Hoare is a Hertfordshire based musician; ‘a fun guy who likes to write songs about tea and sonic the hedgehog. Have a listen to my music, it’ll make you smile!’
‘a highly original mixture of absurd, surrealist humour…and utterly uninhibited performance!‘ – Nick Stephenson
Hubcap Moon are a six piece band who, armed with banjos, mandolins, as well as your conventional guitars and drums, deliver a boot stompin’, beer swillin’, bluegrass, Cajun, country roots, punk-a-billy, folk rock noise. As well as playing their own original songs, Hubcap Moon throw in a few well known favourites to get the party ambiance cooking and everyone singing along.
Marching Donald returns to Trestle with his own mix of contemporary folk and delta blues. This fantastic artist also features on The Live Music Project CD.
‘Marching Donald should be high up on your list of albums to check out‘ – Neil King, FATEA Magazine.
Free Entry, doors open 7.30pm, licensed bar.
