The Live Music Project: Saturday 30 November

The next Live Music Project Gig takes place on Saturday 30 November, we are delighted to be joined by Nick and The Sun Machine, David Hoare, Good Little Roses and Alex and The Black Lights, the doors open at 7.30pm and as always this is a FREE event.

Headlining is well renowned and loved local musician Nick Stephenson with his band The Sun Machine. This very popular local band never fail to deliver a night of top quality original music. You cannot ignore the gorgeous voice of Nick Stephenson and the well written lyrics and accomplished musicianship of this band, recently reviewed by singer/songwriter Noel Cowley he described the band as . “…full of an effervescence which fizzes out joyously from their folk-pop sound and lust for life lyrics.” Not one to be missed.

David Hoare – this young man has something very special to offer that will have you quite literally laughing aloud! Is is poetry,  is it music? It’s a bit of both and extremely entertaining!

Good Little Roses are Charlene Knight, Phil Knight, Andrea Patis, and Cath Campbell. Starting as an acoustic duo in Luton, Char and Phil met at a mutual friends gig where their original band Nemo were conceived. Their music is best described as contemporary folk with a mellow blend of different styles ranging from Rock to Jazz. This alluring acoustic folk band from Luton play some really lovely original tunes.

Alex and The Black Lights – Alex Lilly is an up and coming singer-songwriter based in St Albans. Currently working on her first EP with her newly formed band; The Black Lights, Tom, Gavin and Jess, they hope to begin a small tour of appearances around the UK. Once affectionately called the female Jeff Buckley, Alex’s voice is distinctive, deceptively powerful and one you won’t forget.
