The Live Music Project: June 29, 2013

The next Live Music Project Gig will take place on Saturday 29 June, the doors open at 7.30pm and as always this is a FREE event.

Headlining this months event are Hemel Hempstead’s Idol Bones;  this four piece band play funk-soul-rock musical fusion, with a heady summer vibe.

Formed in May 2011 Idol Bones were drawn from the four corners of Hemel Hempstead to a loft situated somewhere in the vast industrial estate. Here they created a unique rehearsal space that has become known as “The Beat Lab”. Their first ever recorded sessions took place at Big Blue overseen by producer/engineer Steve Ancliffe.

Supporting is  acoustic singer songwriter Marching Donald, playing his own mix of contemporary folk and delta blues.

“Absolutely great”  – Mike Hurst, Musician & Producer (Cat Stevens, Marc Bolan, Belle & Sebastian)

“Marching Donald should be high up on your list of albums to check out” – Neil King, FATEA Magazine

The second support of the evening comes in the guise of Dene Rosewarn. Dene is a St Albans based original singer/ songwriter previously in original bands The Underdogs and Denmark Street. He will be playing a mix of songs from both bands and a selection of new acoustic tracks.
