Take a minute to see this exhibition of retrieved and recycled time pieces, created by a group of patients from local doctors’ surgeries and St Albans City Hospital. These are being exhibited at Trestle Arts Base during June and July 2012, having previously showcased at The Clock Tower, St Albans during May.
These creative clock makers are participants in the Exercise Referral Scheme, a long standing project funded by St Albans City & District Council, which offers a route to attend safe, personalised exercise sessions with a qualified health professional.
The group enjoyed a leisurely stroll along theAlban Way, whilst foraging for found objects, which have been transformed into these quirky clocks, under the guidance of Eric, an ERS member and clock maker.
Images, taken by the group and inspired by the Time to Waste theme will also be on display, and available to purchase at Trestle during the Exhibition.
The project was organised by St Albans Arts Sport & Health (SAASH) as part of a programme of free creative workshops, designed to promote health and wellbeing in the District.
