After a totally amazing Halloween night last month for The Live Music Project, we return with this months showcase and another fantastic line up. Fragile Souls, a Porch Blues band from Harpenden are headlining with a rare live performance, especially for The Project. The band have been concentrating on writing & recording over the last few months. The Live Music Project is delighted to welcome them to our stage for the 1st time. We have supports from the very popular Los Chicos Muertos, (part of the Trashville collective which includes The Trailer Trash Orchestra)  & Hope with a very special pre – EP release gig & Maekkelae who visits us all the way from Germany!

Fragile Souls – Fragile Souls has an album worth of material recorded and are rehearsing their live set.
With the album in mixing stages and the birth of the live set in progress Paul and Ryan are ready to bring 21st century porch blues to a time where music is lacking something fresh, with one foot firmly planted in electronica and the other foot in chain gang blues an integral sound that has brought the two hues together as one genre. The Fragile Souls take pride in giving the listener a visual experience; their tracks evoke the primal gift of dance and the deep dream like trance of a movie soundtrack.
Los Chicos Muertos –  Local Trashville heroes return to The Project with their alter ego’s. They are a truly entertaining band who live & play locally as well as travelling to Europe for the occasional tour!

Hope – A very special pre EP release performance from this 15 year old singer songwriter who recently performed for our Acoustic Cafe Sessions.

Maewkkelae – Whether solo or in occasional collaborations, Mäkkelä never fails to win hearts with his spiky de-tuned guitar washes and sinister or darkly joyous narratives. A genuine contemporary troubadour, Makkela has made regular treks from his adopted German home back to his roots in Finland, to the Czech Republic, UK, Austria, Switzerland and France – somewhere in Europe tonight it is likely that a new audience is witnessing the charismatic lo-fi pop styling of the barefoot, wild-haired giant as he plucks the opening discordant notes from the yellow Gretch Astro Jet, to the crackle and hiss of a lo-fi loop.
Touring constantly since 2000 Maekkelae’s Trash Lounge is still one of the most unpredictable and exciting singer/songwriters and performers in Europe. Be it as a solo performer or in his numerous collaborations with like minded artists.
