Trestle's workshops for drama teachers and workshop leaders provide an opportunity to develop teaching and leadership skills in physical and mask theatre, as well as discovering new tools to help students produce great work.
Led by professional theatre practitioners these practical one-day workshops are held regularly at our home in St Albans, Trestle Arts Base or can be delivered at external venues.
Teaching Mask Theatre Workshop
This workshop will help strengthen your practice of using masks as a tool for both theatre and social development. The day consists of learning and experiencing practical, hands-on exercises that develop physical awareness, creativity, mask technique and devising. Next workshop: Thursday 30 September 2010
Teaching Physical Theatre Workshop
This workshop will teach you to work imaginatively with words, using body, voice and mind to devise and create exciting physical theatre. Participants will discover different routes into physical theatre by exploring the techniques Trestle uses in devising its own touring production. Next workshop: Friday 1 October 2010
Cost: £100 per person per day (discount available if booking both days) / £600 for workshops delivered to external venues (minimum of 6 participants). Cost includes lunch, refreshments and comprehensive notes on the workshop activities.
