The Election – Community Project

Could you win THE ELECTION?

Join Trestle Arts Base, Samuel Ryder Academy, Camp School and local community members for an intergenerational project exploring themes of democracy, citizenship and politics through drama, role-play and new media.  Start your own political party, make your own manifesto and launch a landslide victory!

We’d love more adults from the local community to join The Election  to bring people of all ages together, understand the issues affecting different generations and to share skills and ideas through drama, digital media or other creative forms.  Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to ‘Create, Debate and Have Your Say!’

If you’d like to join in, please call us on 01727 850950 /  email takingpart@trestle.org.uk /  Tweet @trestletheatre

The Election is part drama project, part public debate, part legislative theatre and part community festival. This is an unique project utilising all of the experience and skill that Trestle offers.

We will be working with participants from local schools and community groups, from the age of 9 upwards, delving into the issues that affect our community and looking at new ways of tackling them. We’ll also be examining the role of democracy and the ways in which we can all have our say, recognising that people of all ages can have an influence on our quality of life.

The Election promises to be a fascinating, engaging and enjoyable project bringing people of different ages and different backgrounds together.

Get involved! We need your VOTE!

The Election is open to all ages.
