9.30am – 3.30pm, Friday 7 March 2014
Find Your Voice provides a series of teaching and learning strategies for exploring with students what their voices can do, and applying this to a series of exciting performing, improvising and composing activities. Integrated into this is the use of mobile phones and tablets as tools for enhancing, extending and creating music. It has shown students that singing in school is something that everyone can become involved in, and teachers that mobile devices can be powerful instruments in their own right, rather than simply social media nuisances.
This course is aimed at classroom music teachers, student teachers, instrumental teachers, community musicians, Music Hub and other education professionals. You do not need to already be running Musical Futures, but Musical Futures core pedagogy will not be covered during this training day.
Please note, for the Exploring Technology session delegates will need a mobile device (smartphone, ipad, kindle etc). It is not critical, but it will enhance your experience!
